The body of this shapely box is made from ash and the top from increasingly rare English pippy elm. Dutch elm disease ravaged the country’s elm trees in the early 1970s, when Matthew was an apprentice. It was heartbreaking to see these majestic trees disappear from our landscape, so here is an opportunity to own a little bit of history.

You may not need a dining-table or an office at the moment but, as shameless sprats to catch mackerels, we hope that living with these pieces just might prompt you to remember us in the future.
