STADDLE STONE
ABOUT
As a child I spent far too much time gambolling amongst the barns of Wiltshire, most of which were the weather-boarded type, stood on staddle stones to protect their contents from marauding rats. The barns were being pulled down in their hundreds and the stones were recycled as entrance or drive markers. They were much sought after and their shape is indelibly etched into my psyche, resurfacing in these side tables.
