The early 1980s recession prompted us to imaginatively respond to an urgent need to diversify. We came up with our Fantasy Pavilions for children to play in, but for adults to aesthetically appreciate and live with. Secret attack and defend entrances, tables, ladders, escape routes and air rifle targets all became springboards for the imagination.
