This evolved from the designs for the benches we created for the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
The curved cross-section of the seat is copied on its underside. This provides the necessary beam strength to forgo a visually cluttering underframe and gives a smooth, soft feel.
With all our benches we have kept faith with our mantras of ‘strength and comfort’ & ‘seemingly simple – sculpturally sensual’. They are comfortably suited for a lengthy sojourn around the dining table and good looking enough to live in the hallway or elsewhere, as a convenient place to do up your shoes.
Available with or without armrest.
