This piece was designed to celebrate a maker’s virtuosity in getting their head around the challenge of its compound curves, and was the sensual and sculptural centre-piece for our solo touring exhibition in 2008. This was hosted by the Crafts Study Centre at the University of the Creative Arts. It was subsequently exhibited at the House of Commons and awarded a Bespoke Guild Mark No:402 from the Furniture Makers’ Company, before being ultimately shortlisted for the Claxton Stevens Award.
