These chairs share a technique we gleaned from barrel-makers, known as coopering.

The Coopered Carver is our classic carver chair, with both the seat and back made from identical curved and tapered staves whose sides are subtly angled. These, when fitted together, provide the compound curve so important to its comfort.

We also offer the Coopered Carver as a solid chair and various coopered dining chair options.

We can make these chairs in a variety of timbers.

The price includes all the upholstery work, excluding fabric.

Our bespoke furniture is made especially for you, following your order. From sketchbook to timber stack to workshop bench, every piece from our studio and workshop has the hand of the designer-maker upon it. From its design inception to the skill of the craftsman in the making, every stage is considered and relished. It takes time to create these beautiful, handmade objects and to ensure we fulfil our own brief to give of our best.
