When you are asked to design the family kitchen in the home of a Michelin-starred chef,  you take a deep breath.

Needless to say, it was not as I initially expected and the brief, on the whole, was wonderfully relaxed, with a few emphatic imperatives. Work-a-day chic was the answer and unlocked the key of his approval – a goodly balance of colour, warmth of wood, light and plenty of accessible storage for the tools of the trade.

We focussed on drawers, cupboards and shelving for accessible storage and added a few other bits to make the whole: Solid Tricorn chairs, Aerofoil benches and a bespoke table.

It is a very pleasant place in which to enjoy the culinary delights that ensue.
