INSIGHTS

Memorial Bench

Over our working life we have, on occasion, been commissioned to make memorial pieces. These are, by their nature, always highly personal and poignant. It has been a privilege to work with Hollie’s parents Nick and Mandy, her sister Chloe and their wider family, in creating a memorial bench for Hollie, who was murdered in Gloucester in 2014.

The bronze inscription to Hollie surrounds a revolving ‘friendship’ globe for sitters to roll while having a quiet, contemplative moment.

The Hollie Gazzard Trust has been set-up to work with local agencies in promoting awareness of domestic abuse and knife crime, and to fund and support young hairdressers, a job Hollie loved. Read more about the unveiling of the bench here.

TESTIMONIAL

We hope the bench is a fitting tribute to Hollie and also something the city of Gloucester can be proud of. Hopefully we’re helping a lot of people, which is what Hollie’s legacy is all about.
