Select Wood
I called this piece Hedgerow 50/50 because it is 50% timber and 50% air.
The use of smaller sections of wood allows us to use more of the tree, including its boughs. We don’t like wasting timber so turning all these beautiful bits and pieces into something handsome and useful is a very pleasing process. It’s a piece that punches well above its weight.
It looks great anywhere but we really thought it sang against this old, stone wall. And you can have great fun with illuminations. An uplighter placed inside the base would cast a network of shadows and criss-crosses of light across a space.
